5 months and counting...

Sawyer is sure "down to be alive" as our friend Zac has said. Such a happy little man!

At his 4 month (5 months old) checkup he weighed 14 lbs and was 25 3/4 inches tall. Growing like a weed.

Still enjoying his swing and loves to roll around and play with toys and mom and dad:

Of course a baby's first year is full of new things here are some first in Sawyer's fifth month...

First taste of cereal...was not in love with it, but we keep trying...

First spoon...

First drinks of water from a sippy-cup...

First Christmas....

Sawyer had a great and very busy first Christmas! Mike's parents were in town from Anchorage so they got to spend lots of time with him and he also spent time with the rest of the family too...

Sawyer 4 Months Old...

So our little man is 4 months old and while I can't believe this, I also feel like we have known him forever. I know that is probably how every parent feels, but now that I am one I totally understand the feeling.

We are enjoying him so much, he changes everyday! He talks up a storm, laughs, smiles, grabs his toes, makes the funniest faces and is such a happy baby! We feel very lucky.

Next week is his official 4 month check up so we will see how he has grown.

New Tricks...

Sawyer has learned all sorts of new tricks since our last post.

He grabs toys and whatever else he can find to put in his mouth...




Sucks on his hands...

Rolls to his side (not yet all the way) and scoots all over...

Is getting chubby...

Smiles and talks to us all the time...

AND .... Is the cutest baby ever...


We feel so lucky to have such a happy, smiley, healthy baby. He has even started sleeping through the night...I think I am getting too much sleep now if that is possible. Sawyer has lots to say and we love chatting with him. Looking forward to his first Christmas.... Happy Holidays!

Sawyer ...3 months old!

Wow...I am really bad at this! I promise to be better. ; )

Sawyer is 3 months old now and talking and smiling up a storm...so much fun.

He had his official 2 month check up last Friday and weighs 11 lbs. 2 1/2 ozs. is 24 inches long and got 3 shots. That was fun! Dr. was amazed at his ability to scoot around the table while he was examining him and also at how content he was just to lay there...only thing Sawyer wasn't too happy about was getting his ears checked.

We are working on doing tummy time regularly so here are few pictures...

Sawyer Wyatt Holden

Been way to long since our last post!! All is well at the Holden house...Sawyer is now 5 weeks old and those weeks have flown by...we spend our time just staring at our little man and just can't believe he is ours and just how cute he is. Sawyer has been a great baby so far. Nursing was a challenge at first, but we have figured that out and he is a great eater now. We had a great birthing experience - my regular doctor delivered Sawyer and our delivery nurse was amazing. She thought Mike was hilarious and was an excellent coach to me! Will get some newer pictures up when I get time to take them off the camera...

Mike is 30!!!

Mike turned 30 on July 1st so we went all out for the July 4th weekend and rented a house on Roses Lake with friends...a great time was had by all - an adventure for a pregnant girl for sure!
