Halloween Perfection

My cousin Sarah sent me this picture of Miss Abby at the pumpkin patch and I just had to share it! Even though Mike and I don't get to see her very often, she is one of our favorite little people.

Fun in Boise...

Ellen and Jaime are GETTING MARRIED!!! And all the girls went to Boise to celebrate this past weekend...it was a BLAST! Look out Seattle....we'll all be together again on January 2nd for the BIG day! Love ya El!

My Birthday...

Saturday 9/12...

We were all very excited to race this past Saturday! We were trying a new setup and were really hopeful that it would make us REALLY fast. Mike wasn't sure about it at first, so all day long the team would make changes and Mike would go out and see if he liked them.

We weren't sure how qualifying was going to go, but were ecstatic when Mike qualified 2nd fast with a 23.27! I think that's a personal best, but don't quote me on that.

Next up was the trophy dash - a 4 lap race between the top 4 qualifiers. Since we are not running for points this year, Mike just hung back and treated it as 4 more practice laps.

Mike started inside 3rd row for the main event because of the invert and had a great 125 lap race! Car was running great and after a couple of restarts due to yellows, he was running strong in 3rd place and going for 2nd. He almost got the 2nd place car multiple times, but remained in 3rd until about lap 120 when the 4th place car finally got him. So, we ended up with a 4th place finish! The car was better than it had been on the 5/8s in a long time and Mike was very happy with the race...we all were!

A BIG thank you to University Mechanical Contractors and Daddy Doug for sponsoring our race car this week - couldn't do it without you! And to all the UMC fans who came out to support Mike!

It's that time of year...

The Evergreen State Fair starts tomorrow and Mike will be racing out at the speedway on Saturday evening. This is one of our favorite times of the season to race! Anybody looking for something fun to do this weekend should come enjoy the fair and the races. Hope to see you there!

Has it really been 10 years?!?

This past weekend was our 10 year reunion!!! Can't believe it has been that long already...feels like just yesterday. Mike and I had so much fun hanging out with new friends and old friends for the evening. Here's to the next 10...

Kevin and Bridget are getting married!

My cousin Kevin and Bridget are getting married in September and this past Sunday we had Bridget's shower at Sarah's house. It was a family affair and a lot of fun!
